I was looking at a picture from "Alpha Child" of an astronaut on the
lunar surface with one of the laser rifles when a thought struck me: was
this style of laser rifle ever seen in any other episode? To the best of
my recollection it wasn't. All of the other laser rifles we saw had
stocks which looped around the shoulder. Just wondering...........

Wasn't the rifle Helena used in Last Sunset to blow up the Eagle the same
type of gun as in Alpha Child?

Maurizio never finished it. We'll have to wait for him to get more free
time.

Last I heard, Maurizio is working on an update and will let us know.
Here's the current web site URL:
http://space.tin.it/giochi/mmajelli/index.htm
Maurizio has done a very cool job on updating the web site, so if
you haven't seen it in awhile, have a look. I've played Quake: HDR
and it's amazing. (Then I accidentally deleted the files somehow. I
miss it.)

Hi Alphans!
I am looking for the Game QUAKE. It is very difficult to get the game in
Germany, because it was put on the index. But I can't play HDR without QUAKE.
Who can help to get the full version of the game?

Somehow the topic of calendars came up at the office today and it just
hit me that it would be a neat idea to have a SPACE: 1999 calendar for
the year 1999. Now, if only someone makes it.

This sounds like a job for John "Entrepeneur Boy" Fleming. What about it
John, do you have enough advance warning to take this on? I'll put in an
order for 3 right now!

David,
I think this is a great idea. I was thinking of putting together a
promotional calendar for my graphic design business anyway. It would be fun
to do an S99 one, too.
Does anyone have access to good-quality photos from the show (8x10 glossy
prints, for example--not photos from books or magazines)? Would we "get in
trouble" from the powers that be if we were to use them in such a project?
Maybe we could include fan artwork--paintings, technical illustrations, etc.
As far as the format is concerned, while the traditional calendar format
we're used to purchasing is very good, I believe that the cost of producing
and printing it would be prohibitive. It might be better to go for more of
an all-year "poster" format (I get lots of promotional pieces in this
format, it's pretty common). Are any list members printers that could print
it at cost, or at a reduced cost?
Here are a few ideas:
Highlight the S99 events in September
Include a graphic representation of the S99 timeline--maybe as a center spread
Include birthdays of cast members and some of the main production people
Include info on the newsgroup and main S99 Websites
Does anyone have any other ideas/suggestions?
James
[EDITOR'S UPDATE (10/10/98): One has ended up being produced by Slow Dazzle.
At this point, several list members have just ordered it.]
