Subject: Maya and the law of conservation of matter

How is it possible for Maya to transform to creaturs of different masses
without apparantly discharging energy? Doesn't this conflict with the law
of conservation of mass and energy?

Does anyone have them?? And can they repost some of it?? Anyway, what my solution was this, 'Transdimensional'. The extra mass goes into another dimension for awhile. This accounted for the appearent 1 hour transforming limit. She could only maintain the link between dimensions for a brief time. I hope someone out there has them, I can't remember everything I said. Later...

Essentially, the editors (admittedly non scientists) stated that the extra few hundred pounds of muscle mass that Bruce Banner gains when turning into the Hulk are derived from an alternate universe or "pocket dimension" parallel to ours. This dimension can be accessed through several gateways or "tapping points", and can manifest in different forms, according to its user. When Hulk reverts to Banner, the mass returns to the dimension until it is tapped again by the Hulk, She-Hulk, Maya, your local werewolf, etc.

This way she could disapeare completly and maybe walk through walls etc. In nighther of the Maya episoed does she ever do such a thing.

If Maya's abilities to control her gateway were so great that she could become 0 mass, she could probably also be able to assume the mass of the entire moon itself, if need be. All of this makes for poor drama, you see. If anyone remembers that episode of "Buck Rogers", where a band of intergalactic criminals wanted to take over Earth; there was a character who due to his exposure to radiation, had his own gateway to the other dimension (in the context of this conversation). This guy *could* indeed walk through walls. However, his control over the gateway did not seemingly extend to drawing additional mass. Incidentally, in the Incredible Hulk comic book (which is the original sourse for this explanation), there has yet to be a discovered upper limit to how much mass the Hulk can draw. The past has shown that the angrier he gets, the stronger (and bigger) he becomes.
