Alright, I've just gone through my first Annual ever (thanks to Phill Wright)
and it's bugging me. What do the letters on the LSRO patch indicate?

By the way, Maya's in that (near) mini-skirt again on page 58, showing a LOT
of leg as she kicks an alien.

Annual Blooper Alert: "David Kano - apparently facing an unexpected enemy!
What is Kano's normal job on Alpha?" Why is this a blooper? The picture is
of John Judd who so often turned up as a security guard, not Clifton Jones
who played Kano. He's even wearing his security uniform. I guess Freddie
helped them out with this and just figured, again, nobody would notice.

This book is hilarious, especially where the caption is "Maya joined the
Alpha team after the total destruction of her home planet and the death of
her father. Name him and name the planet." The charming little English tyke
who owned this annual previously answered "Metor from the planet Psycheon."

Koenig's crashing through that glass again on page 60 too. Dumb caption?
"I've always SAID John needed glasses."

Too silly!

Robert

Please cite a reference! How about the AMC on the orange suit Koenig wears when he goes off exploring? Or is it AMF? How about something really obscure: Didn't the lets-put-numbers-on-everything craze go a bit out of control? Specifically, why is there a big number "8" on the upper wall on the inside of Voyager 1? (See the episode guide in the tech notebook). This was Voyager 1, not Voyager 8. Why would you need to number a big blank wall? It just seems to say "This big blank wall is wall wall number 8." "Or behind this wall is fuel tank #8? Eight of anything is too redundent. Voyager only needed 3 landing legs. What the heck does 8 stand for? I think the Swifts had these crazy numbers also. Or is it only Judd, and the photo is mislabeled as Kano? Was FF helping out one or both? Again: What is the source of the info on John Judd? Was he credited in an episode? Where did you get his name. This is as interesting as who-played- Tanya.

Please cite a reference! This is close to what I guessed at as well, though mine was "Lunar Science and Research Operations" (since essentially Alpha is all one organization and Operations suggests a part of something larger). I have no source, and it probably meant nothing, just like all those numbers Ronald mentioned all over EVERYTHING. When you're done with numbers, then start looking for air vents. If Keith wilson didn't cover a surface with numbers he almost certainly did with air vents. They're everywhere, and if you think of the duct work that should be behind them, their numbers and their placement gets pretty silly. Now I just tell myself a lot of them are for ventilation for all the mechanicals behind the walls. As for "John Judd," in the picture in the 1977 Annual in which he was miscredited as Kano, he is the only person in the picture. I assume this actor is John Judd since his name appears in several episodes in Season 2 as a security officer in which this particular actor appears (I think he's in some Season 1 episodes also) and the other guy who appears regularly in Season 2 never seems to be credited, or if he is he's not credited consistently, so I still can't figure out his name, but I know he's NOT John Judd because the credit appears in episodes that he's not in.
